Non-Toxic Thermochromic Powder Pigments

THERMO means “heat” and CHROMA is “color”. Thermochromic Pigments change color when exposed to different temperatures. Every pigment has a different activation temperature (the point when it changes color). When temperature rises over certain degree, the pigment turns from one color to another or color to colorless (translucent white). But the process is reversible- when it gets HOT or COLD, the pigment turns back to its original color.

You can mix Pigments with clear or white glue, varnish, resin, silicone, nail polish, liquid soap, hair dye/mousse/gel, paints, or any medium corresponding to the surface you want to apply on. Ratio of Powder to Binder is 5% to 15% by weight depending on application and how bright you want your colors.

• BLACK to COLORLESS changing at 82⁰F (28⁰C)

For making Epoxy Tumblers, Slime or Paint changing color by hand touch, choose activation temperature close to your ambient temperature from 72⁰F (22⁰C) to 82⁰F (28⁰C):

• BLUE to VIOLET changing at 72⁰F/22⁰C
• RED to YELLOW changing at 77⁰F/25⁰C
• GREEN to YELLOW changing at 77⁰F/25⁰C
• BLACK to PINK changing at 77⁰F/25⁰C
• BLACK to COLORLESS changing at 77⁰F/25⁰C
• BLACK to YELLOW changing at 82⁰F/28⁰C
• BLACK to COLORLESS changing at 82⁰F/28⁰C
• BLUE to VIOLET changing at 82⁰F/28⁰C
